Chainlink (LINK) is showing renewed momentum as trading activity rises sharply following its latest market correction. With LINK trading near $11.40, investors are again watching the crucial $12 resistance level as futures volume jumps across major cryptocurrency exchanges.

LINK has experienced significant volatility in recent weeks. The cryptocurrency climbed nearly 70% from around $8 in early August to above $13.50 in September before sellers triggered a correction toward $11. Despite the pullback, Chainlink has maintained much of its broader bullish market structure.

Derivatives activity is now accelerating. Binance LINK/USDT futures volume reached approximately $113 million, representing a roughly 53% increase over the previous 24 hours. Futures trading volume on OKX and Bybit also rose around 44% and 52%, respectively, while several smaller exchanges recorded even larger percentage gains.

However, rising volume does not necessarily signal stronger buying pressure. LINK futures flows remained negative across several periods, with approximately $1.84 million in net outflows over four hours and $3.86 million over 12 hours. Spot flows were also negative across the one-, four-, eight- and 12-hour windows.

Trader positioning remains heavily tilted toward bullish bets. Binance's account long/short ratio stands near 1.46, while the top-trader position ratio exceeds 2.2. Strong long positioning could support a Chainlink price breakout if buying demand increases, but it could also amplify liquidation risks if LINK loses key support.

From a technical perspective, LINK remains above its major moving averages following the August breakout, while shorter-term averages continue to trend higher. The Relative Strength Index has also cooled toward the mid-50s after previously reaching overbought territory, potentially giving LINK room for another upward move.

The immediate resistance level remains $12. A sustained increase in trading volume combined with a daily close above this threshold could put $12.50 back in focus, followed by the September high near $13.50. Despite the surge in market activity, Chainlink bulls will need stronger spot demand to confirm that the latest volume expansion can translate into a lasting price recovery.
